This was our first time in Berlin and we stayed at 25hours Hotel.
The space is filled with plants and colorful interiors by Studio Aisslinger. It’s a jungle consisting of nature and culture, appropriately located right next to the Berlin Zoo and Tiergarten Park. We had an absolutely amazing stay and enjoyed the friendly service.Thank you for having us!

Berlin Itinerary –

Berlinische Galerie Museum of modern art, photography and architecture
Alte Jakobstrasse 124-128, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg

ORA Café
Oranienplatz 14, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg

A pharmacy turned café that kept much of its original furnishing.
I love the atmosphere here, the dark wooden interiors and the amazing food.

My favorite place for a coffee break in Berlin.

Marie-Elisabeth Lüders Haus Scientific service centre of the German Parliament
Platz der Republik 1, Mitte

Located next to the Reichstag. We tried to book a visit to the dome designed by Norman Foster but we
were too late. Remember to do that!

Braun Design Sammlung
Elberfelder strasse 37

A small “museum” owned by Ettel who showcases his personal collection of
Braun products from 1955-1995. Charming and great for those especially interested
in Braun and product design.

Distrikt Coffee
Bergstrasse 68, Mitte

We had coffee and a delicious lunch (pancakes) at Distrikt.

Bauhaus Archive by Walter Gropius
Klingelhöferstrasse 14, Mitte

Incredibly architecture and museum showcasing work from the always inspiring Bauhaus.

If you have time you can also take a day-trip to visit the Bauhaus school in Dessau.
For our next trip we’ll definitely put that on our schedule.

Berlin Philharmonic by Hans Scharoun
Herbert-von-Karajan-strasse 1, Tiergarten

Tip! We went here on a Tuesday at 1 PM – this is when they do a free concert in the lobby open for the public.
A great way to spend your early afternoon.

Neues Museum
Bodestrasse 1-3, Museum Island

The museum island consists of some grand and magnificent museums. We visited Neues and Pergamon.
Absolutely beautiful but also very overwhelming – make sure you have enough time and
patience to see all of its beauty.

Bonanza Coffee
Adalbertstrasse 70, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg (Pictured)
Oderberger Straße 35, Prenzlauerberg

A spacious and inviting coffee shop with lots of plants.

Chipperfield Kantine
Joachimstrasse 11, Mitte

Architect studio David Chipperfield‘s café located next to their office is a calming and beautiful space.

R.S.V.P. A cute stationary and paper store.
Mulackstrasse 14 + 26, Mitte

Do you read me Book Store
Auguststrasse 28, Mitte

Motto Book Store
Skalitzer Str. 68, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg

Museum Der Dinge
Oranienstrasse 25, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg

The Werkbundarchiv – Museum of Things, presents product culture of the 20th
and 21st century in form of mass production goods and iconic design objects.

Berlin. I’ve only heard good things about the city and my expectations were met: the city boasts of creativity and culture, and offers a lively and interesting scene.
There are plenty of things to see, experience, eat and discover and our itinerary was packed!

The city is huge and everything is spread out so bring your best walking shoes. If the weather was warmer I’d rent a bike – next time! In the meanwhile we got a Berlin WelcomeCard which allowed us to use all kinds of public transportation and it was both accessible and easy.

Regarding areas I loved staying by the Tiergarten park and enjoyed hanging out in Mitte and Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg with its many cafés, restaurants, museums, galleries and shops.

See you again, Berlin!

How long did you spend there? I spent two weekends there but could only manage to do one thing per day!
